This is Claude, my daughters beloved 2CV. He has served her well over the last three years 2 and half years. Unfortunately he has failed his pre MOT check up and is in need of some structural work.
Floors, sills, toe board A panels I suspect and some work around the rear seat belt mounting points. The boot floor is also very corroded, but not an MOT issue. The wings are tally but solid as is bonnet and boot lid. Basically this is now a repair restoration project and my daughter can’t afford to fund that at the moment as she’s still at University. The car is located in Derby. I’m happy to show people it.
He has a galvanised chassis and had a good replacement engine recently. new front shocks and battery about 12 months ago. He starts and runs well and has been a good car for her. She just completed a trip to Cumbria a few weeks ago.
He has a Matts softtops roof which is about 5 years old and still in good condition and replacement seat covers that are good but have faded to a lilac colour rather than grey.
We are hopeful that someone will take him on and bring him back to regular use. He’s currently stored in my lock up and SORN. Please email me any questions and for lots more pics I can send you.
