For Sale ‘Donkey’ my 2006 Citroen 1.9 diesel C15 van (camper). Was sold but the buyer changed their mind! Since that ‘not sale’ I have put it through an early MOT so it now has 12 months. There were some fail items that I have sorted – two new front tyres, new front control arms, two new rear brake lines and I also fitted a new near side drive shaft as the inner boot had started to leak. Noted on the MOT were also headlight misalignment (a simple fix on these and all good now). There was also a pin hole in the passenger side by the door frame which I have welded up. I have also been underneath it and sorted the surface rust noted on the MOT – these are advisories on the new ticket but I have buzzed them back to good metal, treated, painted and undersealed them (was just where the original underseal had failed). I have also cleaned up and welded in new metal on the left rear door as it was a bit scabby!
Been my daily driver for the last 5 years, covering 25000 miles without issue, it is reliable, economical and practical.
Lots of service history for maintenance both in my ownership and before. I have replaced the bonnet with a new one and had both front doors professionally repaired and painted (annoyingly the bonnet has a couple of creases now as it decided to pop up when I was driving!). There are a couple of scabby bits left to address around the rear windows (see pictures) and the usual lacquer peal in places (it is red and French!) but over all in good structural and mechanical condition. MOT to May 2027.
It was converted to a ‘camper’ by previous owner who used it for trips to France and Scotland. It comes with a drive away awning, older 2 ring gas stove and a gas bottle (not sure how much gas is left in it). There are 7 storage compartments in the van plus the roof box. I have now refitted the camper bits in the rear having used it with these removed for most of my ownership (see pictures for camper bits in and out). The van is fully lined, has 2 roof lights, additional USBs and a 12v leisure battery.
Genuine reason for sale – I have 2 of these C15s, the other being an early single rear door version which I am going to keep so this one is surplus to requirements.
I have some spares that will go with the van – 2 red rear doors – they are a bit scruffy. 2 white rear doors in better condition, a new off-side drive shaft (the pair to the one I have recently fitted) and a set of 5 C15 wheels that are my summer set. I had them blasted and I have sealed and painted them (white) – there are no tyres on them as I was intending to get a new set of summer tyres this year before deciding to sell. I’ve got more pictures that I am happy to share – please get in touch.
This is a reliable and sorted little van – happy to answer any questions – viewings welcome but please note we live in rural North Northumberland.
