1983 Citroen Acadiane LHD.
Tax exempt.
MOT 8th July 2026. Advisory – play in nearside kingpin
Replacement Acadiane chassis a few years ago. Floors, sills and chassis very solid.
61000 km – this will rise as I continue to drive the van. Unsure how many times it has been around the clock.
Immensely practical and versatile van – draws attention wherever it goes.

Imported from France (where it resided in Tarn [Department 81], Southern France, where the signwriting was applied) and UK registered in 2020 – I am the third UK owner, and I have owned the car since March 2024.

Alaska white over blue – the lower half was resprayed blue by the previous owner. I have been unable to match it up with any Citroen blue, but I got the paint matched at a local paint shop, and I have painted some rough areas on the nearside wing, as well as some isolated areas in Alaska white, whilst maintaining the Gallic patina of the paintwork.

Has the French owner’s signwriting inscribed on it. Fitted with AK rear numberplate light instead of the usual Acadiane one to accommodate the signwriting of the previous French owner.

602 cc engine with electronic ignition.
Front fog lights, rear fog light, twin reversing lights operated by switch.
Bonnet hooks have been fitted.
Good secondhand offside front suspension arm with kingpin fitted last year.
New front tyres.
New offside bumpstop mounting and rubber fitted.
Grease nipples fitted to the track rod ends – I have lubricated kingpin, driveshafts, track rod ends and knife edges in accordance with service schedule.
New brake master cylinder and seals, new front pads, discs and handbrake pads.
New inner and central driveshaft gaiters.
New alternator, battery and starter. Voltage regulator cleaned up. Burton gearbox rubber connectors.
New high quality ECAS rubber exhaust hangars, and new clamps fitted.
New cardboard heater hoses and dump tubes fitted.
In August, the fuel tank was drained flushed and treated with POR 15 degreaser, metal prep and sealant, as there was contamination from the tank. New fuel filter, new correct van fuel tank sender, nylon fuel line and ECAS ethanol resistant fuel hose fitted throughout. I have driven 2500 km since then, and there is no debris in the filter, and the van runs fine.
There is a slight engine oil leak, but it does not need topping up that often.
I have waxoyled the van in October 2025 and October 2024 – brushing on the underside, and injecting into all the cavities.
The rear end of the nearside cab panel is dented and distorted – obviously a Gallic incident, prior to my ownership.
Fitted with a 2CV driver’s seat and seat cover as temporary measure. The original driver’s seat has factory period headrest – the upholstery and foam has been removed, as it was severely torn. The seat is included in the sale, and will need welding, as the tubular frame has broken on the nearside.
The passenger seat is in black vinyl (a few tears) with the period headrest.

The Acadiane comes with the following spares.
