Citroen Ami 6 Break 1967
This is an early Citroen Ami 6 break still fitted with it’s original chassis and (as far as I can tell) engine. Registered last year, it comes with an age related plate and is both tax and mot exempt.
The car has had a large amount of work to get back onto the road:
Replacement sills both sides
Replacement floors both sides
Inner toe board
Replacement a panels and associated repairs to firewall
Seat box rear floor
Boot floor
Rear inner wings repaired
Four new shock absorbers
Renewed brakes all round – shoes and wheel cylinders
New front to rear brake pipe
Refurbished carburettor
123 ignition
New alternator with voltage regulator
New front seat cover and seat rubbers with replacement foam
Rear seat cover comes with the car for new owner to replace
Four new tyres
Cross box back exhaust system
This work has been carried out and now the car can be driven on the road. There is a little work left to do, including tidying up the front door window channels, interior headlining and dashboard area.
The usual Ami rust spots (roof gutters) are in good condition for the year, and certainly better than is normally found on Amis.
The paint is best described as ‘dans san jus’, as you can see from the photos it is dented perfectly – just enough to avoid anyone parking too close. No fake patina here – this appears to have spent sometime around a farm or vineyard so plenty of dents.
