1958 Citroën 2CV AZLP Sold

Sold £10,995 or PX possible for modern diesel estate up to half price Royston Barnsley, Yorkshire ref # C4S-26356

1958 Citroen 2CV AZLP with a difference. My 2cv is left hand drive and has its original suicide doors and ripple bonnet, looks absolutely gorgeous. During my ownership I have carried out quite a few changes to bring it in line with it’s model year such as a new roof, replacement front and rear bumpers. (It had safari type before). The main difference from any other AZLP is it has all 602 running gear on a galvanised chassis, due to this it really whips along .Making it a very usable ULEZ exempt, Tax exempt, test exempt car. The conversion was carried out around 12 years ago I don’t know by who but it is very good! The paintwork is Opal green, not a Citroen colour, but really suits the period along with the new contrasting Beige Gazelle roof. The interior is very good with no tears or dirt, a new rear parcel shelf has just been fitted.
Mechanically it is excellent starts first turn of the key any weather and returns great fuel economy, mainly due to a completely rebuilt and re-jetted carburettor supplied by Roger Moffat who supplies to 2CV enthusiasts world wide.
It has just undergone a Major service carried out by Jonno at Peak 2CV along with the fan pulley and inlet manifold being changed, heads re-torqued etc.
Running on the proper Michelin tyres it is a pleasure to drive and I regularly use it at the maximum motorway speed.
Although unique this car isn’t either a concourse or trailer queen. There are signs of minor corrosion to some panel edges (patina) Please ask away -tell me your opinion whatever. I have too many A series and want to sell at least one. I’m only a phone call away (South Yorkshire).

Part-exchange possible for modern diesel estate up to half price.
