Transform your mirrors
The MirrorCool surround trim was originally developed for A-Series Citroëns to overcome the very common problem of the original hard plastic trim shrinking, splitting, cracking and crumbling with age and mainly due to ultra-violet light from the sun.
Rather than disposing of the whole mirror to replace it with an expensive new one or a cheap inferior copy, the kit we developed gave for 2cv owners the opportunity to transform their existing high-quality original mirror for a fraction of the price of either. Following on from the huge success of that first kit, we went on the produce kits to cater for many of the mirrors most commonly used on French classics during the 1960s, 70s & into the 80s.
Our kits are produced in England, using a silicone material which not only closely matches the colour and finish of the original, but also has the following advantages over the original:
- Unaffected by temperature or ultra-violet light,
- Will not become brittle, crack, shrink,
- Will remain flexible,
- Can be removed/refitted if required at a later date, (to replace cracked glass, internal fixings etc).
- Greatly prolongs the useful life of the best quality mirror available, so you don’t have to buy an inferior replacement.
