1989 Citroën 2CV Dolly Sold

1989 Citroen 2CV Dolly.
Dolly the 2CV is for sale! Just returned from 2CV specialist following a huge amount of work. Selling as I no longer have storage or time to enjoy.
A new SLC galvanised chassis has been fitted. New floors, sills, front lower bulkhead, rear body sweeps, seatbelt mounts, A panels, rear lighting panels and boot floor have been fitted so Dolly is now solid underneath!
The wings, doors and bonnet have not been touched, so she is patinated in appearance, not a show stopper.
Mechanically, new front to rear brake pipe, new fuel pipe, new suspension buffers, tie rod ends, knife edge pins, rear wheel cylinders and shoes, new exhaust. The engine has been serviced and fitted with 123 electronic ignition.
Dolly passed an mot in June with advisories on the tyres, so I had 4 x brand new wheels and Michelin tyres fitted!
A second hand wiper motor was fitted as the original had stopped working. The mechanism was adjusted so that the wipers now park to the left, away from the driver’s view.
A set of new, red Burton seat covers have been fitted inside and the quality, padded Burton roof has been on for a while, but is in excellent condition.
Since all this work was completed. I have covered only a couple of hundred miles – and enjoyed every one of them!
The mileage is now showing 55,000 and is believed to be genuine, backed up by a large pile of bills and paperwork going back many years.
