Description
It’s time to sell my lovingly built 1980 Citroen Hy Coffee Van. I have traded out of it for the past three years and now looking to facilitate a move into a physical shop and even though I would like to have both, I won’t have the time.
Engine and brakes have been rebuilt in 2020 and it has been looked after since. It drives lovely, the petrol gauge doesn’t work, but I just keep him filled up with E5. Lights have been rewired, new alternator and battery put in this year. Recently serviced with new gaskets and fuel pipes installed Nov 2024.
Structural Improvements
I’ve had plenty of works done to reinforce the hatch and roof, some of the original tin panels have been replaced with fibreglass, which if you’re a real purist, won’t please you, but they look great and won’t rust any time soon.
Equipment
The van is completely self-contained, charges via the solar panel on the roof, there is a 12v system for the water pump and USB sockets, as well as an inverter that powers the 240v plug sockets for the coffee grinders/fridge and lights. There are two 60aH AGM batteries on board which last days. The whole van can also be run off a single 240v via an extension lead, if required, this is also used to charge the batteries as needed. It has a 300w solar panel on the roof, which charges the battery.
The coffee machine is a La Pavoni Vasari Lever and runs off a 6kg LPG setup which is refillable at petrol stations and will run the machine for a minimum of 40 hours being refilled for around £15. I also have a spare bottle which you can have.
There’s a 100-litre water tank, and a Bestmax water filter system with a brand new cartridge inline to the espresso machine.
Included is everything: Eureka Zenith and Compak K3 grinder, jugs and barista equipment, huge 156-litre Igloo cooler. You could literally trade from the van after buying it. If you buy it local to Kent, I even have some shows I’ve paid to attend if you so wish.
It’s completely unbranded so it’s ready to make your mark.
