If you’re a taller driver, you might find yourself slouching because the sun visor sits too low, below the top of the windscreen, and blocks part of your view.
The Visor-Riser fixes that by raising the sun visor by 6 cm — high enough to give even taller drivers a clear line of sight.
- 3mm stainless steel stepped plate, with stainless fixings.
- Fits either left-hand or right-hand visor.
- Works with early metal or later plastic visor brackets.
- Suitable for 2CV cars and vans.
- Not compatible with Dyane etc, where the sun visor and roof hook share an integrated mounting bracket.
- Kit includes parts required to raise one sun-visor by 6cm: 1 stepped plate, 2 m5 screws, 4 washers, 2 nylock nuts, (all stainless steel). Photos showing other parts are to illustrate fitting.
Fitting:
- Remove the 2 screws* that secure you sun-visor and roof hook mechanism (*8mm hex on later cars).
- Remove the sun-visor but leave the hook mechanism in place.
- Place the Visor-Riser bracket over the plate of the hook mechanism and secure them both with the original screws & washers. (The oval holes in the V-R bracket allow it to be positioned so that there is sufficient room for the roof securing hook to move freely, regardless of which side of the car you are fitting it to).
- Attach the sun-visor to the upper part of the Visor-Riser using the supplied stainless steel fixings.
