We have two of these Genuine Original Citroën Parts. One has a plastic outer cable. One has a metal outer cable. One of these is part number “AM5251i” but the sticker was loose, so we don’t know which bag it came from!
AM5251i is listed as a 82cm cable for an Ami 6.
Obviously these cables may be suitable for many other French classics. “S” is for “strangulator” (the French word for “choke”) but for english speaking markets, “S” was also used for the pull-start cable.
These two cables are different lengths. Here are the approximate measurements, (including the knob).
Plastic outer cable 79cm, inner cable 86cm.
Metal outer cable 64cm, inner cable 85cm.
