Special electronic flasher unit for LEDs retro-fitted to 2cv & Dyane (1981 onwards), to replace standard 3-pin flasher unit.
If you replace your 2cv’s standard 21w indicator bulbs with LEDs, the standard type of flasher will not work because it will not be triggered by the minimal electrical load of the LEDs. This special replacement unit will work with any load from a single LED, up to 30 watts*.
Fitting Notes:
Fits under dash shelf, (above pedals), in place of standard aluminium canister. The 3 outer pin connectors are in the same positions as the original Citroën unit but an additional earth connection is required, so we supply a wire which connects between the middle connector to the mounting point of unit. (See last image for connection identification info, which relates to 2cv & Dyane from 1981 onwards).
*Important: Maximum load of 30 watts (all bulbs + LEDs combined), so not suitable with standard 21w bulbs, (although standard bulbs in repeater lamps & dash warning lamp can be retained if fronts and rears have been replaced with LEDs). If unsure, please ask before ordering.
