A unique opportunity to buy such an example in the UK, where other C15s have fallen foul of our damper climate. Although this was a working van in its past life in Spain and is over 30 years old and so obviously will have some signs of wear and tear in a few places and evidence of some of the usual bodywork issues, it is still a very presentable solid van. There are no visible welding repairs underneath and the van looks great in its original and unique “Vert Telefonica” colour.
I bought the van last summer from an avid Citroen collector for camping, club meetings, day’s out and practical van-duties and have carried out various jobs to get it up to a good reliable standard, for daily use. One minor job that I haven’t got around to yet is a slight knock over bumpy surfaces.
Most C15s sold in the UK had a diesel engine, whereas in Spain, many had the equally reliable and almost as economical, perky TU 1.1 petrol engine. Despite this option being a rarity here, parts are easily obtainable, as this engine was also used in many other Citroëns & Peugeots.
4x tyres are of excellent quality and condition.
The van can be viewed 10 minutes walk away from Ellesmere Port railway station. It has real character and will be missed. It drives sweet as a nut and can be driven away with confidence.
