“1981, tax exempt Citroen Dyane… 55, 000 miles, drives beautifully, pale yellow with 12 months MOT, Summers coming!!! What better way to enjoy it!!!
I have had the car a little over a year after having owned a number of 2CVs, fancied a dyane, so invested… car has a galvanised chassis, it has had new floors in the past too. Matching set of Toyo tyres. The roof is older, but no splits or tears, and doesn’t leak.
The car was owned by an old chap prior to me owning it, who has polished through the paint in a number of places. The original front seats were absolutely shot, so I have replaced them with comfy 2cv ones. New battery fitted, jack and muff present.
Car does have some rust, MOT highlighted backs of the sills/ floors both sides are corroded, and there are some holes in the boot floor and rear inner wings. The scuttle below the windscreen is ok, but there are a couple of sealed up holes higher up on the bulkhead… sealed to stop any further water ingress…
I tracked down a rust free tailgate, and 3 rust free doors, the original panels are included if you want them. Got a better rear wing but haven’t ever fitted it.
Cones with a tow bar to fit if you fancy pulling something light with it.
I’d say the car is a reliable, running and fully functioning vehicle that can be improved whilst being driven. It would benefit from some welding, it would benefit from some love, but is perfectly useable as is.
I have taken it to a couple of local classic car shows and she always raises a smile and people take pics.
Only selling as I am moving house and sadly, need to raise sone funds to help.
Car is located in Martham, Norfolk.
