Citroen AZU 1962
First registered March 1962 and owned by one family.
Carte Grise present, and chassis and engine plates match the paperwork.
Rare to find such an original van with loads of patina.
Very solid van, mostly original.
Additional indicators have been fitted to the front wings and at the rear but these can easily be removed if necessary.
Front floors have been changed but the rest looks to be from 1962.
Excellent chassis.
Exterior bodywork overall is very good, there is surface rust as you would expect but no major rot. A few dents, rear passenger wing and drivers top hat section are the worst, and the paintwork is obviously faded.
All the usual weak points are in very good shape, windscreen panel, top bulkhead etc are fine.
Front doors are very good as are the rears.
Passenger sill has a dent which can be repaired, passenger floor needs a repair, there is a small hole, and the inner and outer toe boards need replacing, not the whole lower buklhead just the bottom sections.
The rear valance is dented as normal but not rotten, the inside load area is very good, one hole about 5cms x 2 cms to repair on the floor but remarkably dent free.
The van will need a full mechanical overhaul.
The engine is 12hp 425 cc, but has a later 18hp carb fitted, and the gearbox, brakes, tyres etc will all need attention.
