1956 Citroen AZU (2cv Van) Project

For sale is my 1956 Citroen AZU named “Gonzo”, I’ve owned him now for 15 years, and despite early enthusiasm and some restoration work, for most of that time he’s sat unloved (and upside down!) neatly stored away in the back of the garage. I’ve finally decided it’s time he found a new and loving owner that will give him the care and attention he deserves.

The van is currently completely disassembled, but everything is there, and also comes with many spares collected over the years. This includes the original bodyshell, chassis, 425cc engine and running gear. I also have a spare engine, ripple bonnet, various body panels, glass, headlights, 400mm wheels and tyers etc… The van is unregistered in the UK, but I have all the original chassis plates, and a dating letter from 2cvgb which may be of some use. My plan was always to mechanically restore him, but leave the body in as original rusty condition as possible..!

The van is located in Hampshire, and will require a trailer or large van to transport away. At present viewing the van is difficult owing to the strict lockdown restrictions, however any interested parties can contact me, and I can give you as many details and extra photographs as you’d like. Many thanks…
